The Rainbow Serpent

is a ‘great energy current’ that travels the world from Uluru (Ayres Rock), linking ‘planetary increase sites’ or chakras, before meeting it self back in Uluru.

The Aborigines knew this serpent well. Their stories tell of two serpents; a female snake Kuniya and her nephew Liru, who meet at Uluru. According to Robert Coon, the Rainbow Serpent is the female aspect of two great energy lines.

The other, the Plumed Serpent, is the male aspect (see map). These serpents are themselves made up of male and female currents that intertwine like a Caduceus or Kundalini through the landscape.

The Michael and Mary Line is the part of the Rainbow Serpent that travels though England (see UK map) linking many sacred sites from St Michael's Mount, Cornwall, through to Glastonbury, Avebury and many sacred sites up to Bury St. Edmunds and finally, Hopton-on-Sea, where it goes into the North Sea.
The one energy centre that stands out for Robert Coon is Glastonbury. The Tor is the earthly representation of the planetary heart charka, which spreads out through the landscape zodiac. The Michael and Mary lines pass through Burrow Mump (third eye of the landscape Unicorn), Glastonbury Abbey, Chalice Well (and White Spring) and the Tor, before moving on to the Avebury Complex.

Gaia’s energy system is remarkably similar to our own. Our connection to the earth is also far greater than we realise, especially when the 6th planetary chakra or 3rd Eye, is held not in the landscape but in the consciousness of people. It moves with the precession of the equinoxes to a new location, which is currently in Avalon for the Age of Aquarius (Piscean Age - Jerusalem).

We are the awareness of the planet. Her birthing pains are ours, and the plundering of her resources we also feel as our own struggles.

 

The Project The Rainbow Serpent Project was conceived when I left my editing job in Bristol, packed my bags and when around the world late 2003. My friend Shaun gave me a crystal to give to the Rainbow Serpent in its birthing pool at the foot of Uluru (ayers Rock, Australia) so I was on my way there, I did some research into the Rainbow Serpent and the Earth Chakras, I have always connected strongly with chakras, there seemed to be a project brewing but it wasn’t until the action of throwing the crystal in the birthing pool at Uluru did I realise what I was being asked to do, it came as a response in the form of a small Rainbow Spark, that came out of the birthing pool. You have to go to all the Earth Chakras, do ceremony there and link all tribes together.

 

I remembered the Hopi prophecy “Some time in the future, the Indians said, the animals would begin to disappear. People would no longer see the wolf, or the bear, or the eagles. And, the story goes, the giant trees would also disappear. And people would fight with each other and not love each other. And, the story goes, the beautiful rainbow in the sky would fade away, and people would not see the rainbow anymore. Well, children would come. And these children would love the animals, and they would bring back the animals. They would love trees, and they would bring back the giant trees. And these children would love other people and they would help people to live in peace with, each other. And these children would love the rainbow, and they would bring back the beautiful rainbow in the sky. For this reason the Indians called these children the rainbow warriors.”

 

This says so much to me as for fifteen years I have been working with the channeled information from Farther Abraham channeled for the Arimathean Group, of which I am a founder member. He shared information of the Children of Light, souls coming back from Atlantis and Egypt as we move into the Aquarian age, indigo? Rainbow Warriors? Crystal?

The Rainbow Serpent

The Rainbow Serpent (Snake) is an important part of the beliefs and culture of the people of western Arnhem Land. Today the Rainbow Serpent is associated with ceremonies about fertility and abundance, as well as the organisation of the community and the keeping of peace. The Rainbow Serpent is also part of the beliefs of Aboriginal people in other parts of Australia, but is best known from Arnhem Land.
The Rainbow Serpent has been described by George Chaloupka, the foremost expert on the rock art of Arnhem Land, as follows:
"The belief in the Rainbow Snake, a personification of fertility, increase (richness in propoagation of plants and animals) and rain, is common throughout Australia. It is a creator of human beings, having life-giving powers that send conception spirits to all the waterholes. It is responsible for regenerating rains, and also for storms and floods when it acts as an agent of punishment against those who transgress the law or upset it in any way. It swallows people in great floods and regurgitates their bones, which turn into stone, thus documenting such events. Rainbow snakes can also enter a man and endow him with magical powers, or leave 'little rainbows', their progeny, within his body which will make him ail and die. As the regenerative and reproductive power in nature and human beings, it is the main character in the region's major rituals." (from page 47, "Journey in Time", Reed 1993).
Rock Art of the Rainbow Serpent
Paintings of the Rainbow Serpent first appear in Arnhem Land rock art more than 6000 years ago, and perhaps as early as 8000 years before the present, as the seas rose after the last Ice Age.
The most recent image was painted on rock in 1965, and the tradition has continued in work on bark and more recently on paper. The Rainbow Serpent is called Almudj by Gundjehmi and Mayali speakers and Ngalyod by Kunwinjku speakers.
Among the Kunwinjku speaking people of western Arnhem Land, and many of their neighbours, numerous Rainbow Snakes are said to populate the landscapes that make up their homelands. Two types of Rainbow Serpents consistently turn up in their oral history, mythology, ceremonies and painted art: Yingarna, the female Rainbow Serpent, is the mother, the original creator being; and the male Rainbow Serpent, Ngalyod, is the transformer of the land. They often live in deep waterholes below waterfalls.
The Rainbow Snake is depicted as a long mythical creature made of the parts of different animals - kangaroo's or flying fox's head, crocodile's tail - joined along the body of a huge python decorated with water lilies, yams and waving tendrils. A Scientific Interpretation
The rock art images in western Arnhem Land have been studied in detail by Dr Paul Tacon, Dr Christopher Chippindale of the Cambridge University in Britain, and Meredith Wilson at the Australian National University. After using statistical methods to analyse 107 images, they say they have found convincing evidence that the first snake images were inspired directly by climate change and also claim to have identified a living model for them.
Tacon and Chippindale say that the first images of Rainbow Serpents appear in the rock art at the time of the Yam period identified by George Chaloupka, beginning around 6000 years ago, and that these set the pattern for all following images: a snake-like body, curved horse-like heads, at least two types of tails (pointed or spiked), and an assortment of plant and animal appendages, including wispy tendrils and ear-like projections.
At first the researchers thought of a seahorse, but after talking to Dr John Paxton, a fish expert at the Australian Museum, they settled on another, though related animal model - the ribboned pipefish, Haliichthys Taeniophora, which is found around Irian Jaya and the coast of northern Australia from Shark Bay in Western Australia to the Torres Strait.
The researchers matched features of likely animals that may have served as models for the images, and found that the ribboned pipefish matched most closely, over and above those of crocodiles, snakes and kangaroos and other creatures. A related pipefish, the Ghost Pipefish, is shown on the right.

The World's Oldest Religious Image?
This creature would have been unfamiliar to people living inland until the sea began rising after the last Ice Age and crept steadily inland, flooding familiar features and causing great disruption to climate, hunting and traditional patterns of life. Traditional food plants and animals dwindled and war increased as groups of people from diverse language and cultural groups were forced to share the diminishing landscape.
Because of this stress, the reasearchers reasoned, the serpent became a symbol of unity and peaceful cooperation, as well as of creation and destruction. From this they conclude that the Rainbow Serpent represents the world's oldest continuous religious tradition.

The Rainbow Serpent   Far off in Dreamtime, there were only people, no animals or birds, no trees or bushes, no hills or mountains. The country was flat. Goorialla, the great Rainbow Serpent, stirred and set off to look for his own tribe. He travelled across Australia from South to North. He reached Cape York where he stopped and made a big red mountain called Naralullgan. He listened to the wind and heard only voices speaking strange languages. This is not my country, the people here speak a different tongue. I must look for my own people. Goorialla left Naralullgan and his huge body made a deep gorge where he came down. He travelled North for many days and his tracks made the creeks and rivers as he journeyed North. Goorialla made two more mountains, one of the Naradunga was long made of granite, the other had sharp peaks and five caves and was called, Minalinha. One day Goorialla heard singing and said, "Those are my people, they are holding a big Bora." At the meeting place of the two rivers, Goorialla found his own people singing and dancing. He watched for a long time, then he came out and was welcomed by his people. He showed the men how to dress properly and taught them to dance. A big storm was gathering, so all the people built humpies for shelter. Two young men, the bil-bil or Rainbow Lorikeet brothers came looking for shelter but no one had any room. They asked their grandmother, the Star Woman but she had too many dogs and couldn't help them. the Bil-bil brothers went to Goorialla who was snoring in his humpy but he had no room. The rain got heavier and the boys went back to Goorialla and called out that the rain was heavy. Goorialla said, "All right come in now." The Bil-bil bothers ran into Goorialla's mouth and he swallowed them. Then he began to worry about what the people would say when they found the boys missing. He decided to travel North to Bora-bunaru, the only great natural mountain in the land. Next morning the people found that the boys were gone and saw the tracks of Goorialla and knew that he had swallowed them. You may never see these lakes or mountains, but after the rain you will see his spirit in the sky , which is the rainbow. This is the reason why he is called Goorialla the Rainbow Serpent.

Three important principles to work with:

1. From one dimensional geometry to living organism: Leys are not lines. They are channels for vital energies. Leys will increasingly be seen as arteries, currents, rivers and pathways. Leys are alive. They have the characteristics of a living being.

2. Width: Leys have varying widths. The average ratio of width to length is 1:1000. Long continental and planetary leys have great widths. Great leys have parallel surface boundaries which may have formerly been interpreted as ley lines. These parallel boundaries are concentrated streams of energy that act to contain the great flow of telluric life energy passing through a major planetary artery. When the understanding of this becomes prevalent in Britain, for example, the powers of the world heart chakra, centred at Glastonbury-Shaftesbury, and the connecting Rainbow Serpent ley artery will be greatly increased, in terms of humanity learning to consciously and effectively harmonise its activities with the Spirit of the Earth, in mutual dedication to all life.

3. Great ley arteries cross all continents, oceans and artificial boundaries: Learning to work with the two great planetary arteries – the Rainbow Serpent and the Plumed Serpent – will quickly make this point self-evident. All artificial and negative boundaries dissolve through the development of this work. These two great energy pathways connect with and distribute the forces of the Earth Chakras and other major sacred structures of the Living Earth.

Draco the Dragon is a circumpolar constellation. It revolves around the celestial north pole and can be seen all year round in the northern hemisphere and virtually not at all from the southern hemisphere. Early October this Dragon lies in the northwest sandwiched between the Big Dipper and Lyra's brightest star Vega and the constellation Hercules. Star Chart Draco is a dim constellation with no bright stars.

As discussed above early to mid-October this dragon comes alive breathing fire out into our solar system.

Draco ~ Esoteric Astrology

Djwhal Khul, the Tibetan, through the channel of Alice Bailey, links Draco together with Ursa Major and Ursa Minor, the Pole Star, thePleiades, and the constellation of Capricorn as part of an esoteric astrology that has a transformational effect upon our solar system and upon its particular planets. Draco ~ The Pyramids

Thuban, a tail star in Draco, was the Pole Star around 3,000 B.C. and it seems pyramids have been planned with this star as a focal point. Mythology

 

There are a number of myths behind the constellation Draco, due to its resemblance to a dragon, although alternative interpretations exist, such as the legend of the Mother Camels, the name given by ancient Arabic nomadic tribes to an asterism in the constellation of Draco. Instead of the head of a dragon, the asterism is interpreted as a ring of mother camels surrounding a baby camel (the faint star in the middle), with another mother camel running to join them. The camels were seen to be protecting the baby from a line of charging hyenas.

In the most famous of the myths, Draco represents Ladon, the hundred-eyed dragon that guarded the golden apples of the Hesperides.

The eleventh of The Twelve Labours of Heracles was to steal the golden apples. Heracles killed Ladon with a poisoned arrow, allowing him to freely take the golden apples. According to the legend, Hera later placed the dragon in the sky as the constellation Draco. Due to its position and nearby constellations in the zodiac sign of Libra (i.e. Ursa Major, Ursa Minor, and Bootes), the group of constellations can be seen to tell the tale of the eleventh labour.

In another legend, Draco represents the dragon killed by Cadmus before founding the city of Thebes, Greece. In a third legend, it represents the dragon that guarded the Golden Fleece and was killed by Jason. The fact that the stars of this circumpolar constellation never set plays an important part in its mythologies.

There are many myths behind Draco, due to its resemblence to a dragon. Dragon symbology represents human DNA.

In the first legend, Draco represents the dragon killed by Cadmus before founding the city of Boeotia. In the second legend, it represents the dragon that guarded the Golden Fleece and was killed by Jason.

The Persians have regarded Draco as a man-eating serpent called 'Azhdeha'.

In early Hindu worship, Draco is given the form of an alligator known as 'Shi-shu-mara'.

The legend of Marduk is repeated in many cultures with similar tales of dragon slayers. Perseus, Hercules, Cadmus, Siegfried, Beowulf and St. George are all examples.

Anunnaki - Creational Gods - DNA

The origin of the constellation, Draco, and of most dragon lore as well, was probably the female Chaldean dragon Tiamat, the sea serpent who existed even before the sea and sky had been divided from each other, the dragon of chaos.

Tiamat was a monster of primeval darkness, just such a monster as exists in almost every mythology and must be overcome by the powers of sunlight before the creation of the world can take place.

The Sumerians and Babylonians those early inhabitants of the Tigris and Euphrates Valley from whom we have inherited so much of our mythology and astronomy alike, envisioned the beginnings of creation as a hazy state of chaos, a gloom that was nothing in itself and yet contained the potentialities of all things.

With the passing of time, the first gods arose from this primordial sea and come into conflict with the force that had given them birth, the deep, wild, creative but evil force of this ocean dragon Tiamat.

Tiamat gained possession of the Tablets of Fate, which were supposed to confer upon their owner the power to rule the universe, and gave them to her husband for safekeeping.

Then she challenged the authority of the newly risen gods and rose against them in rebellion, summoning forth out of the slimy depths all the most frightful creatures that her evil brain could conceive to help her in the struggle, monsters whose like has never been seen again: serpents whose fangs dripped poison, scorpion-men and fish-men and monster-dogs.

So horrible were these creations that even the gods took fright and hid themselves safely away in their airy heaven and no one of them would go down to meet Tiamat.

No one, that is, until at last Marduk of Babylon came forth from among them and offered to fight as their champion. He was equipped with special magic powers bestowed on him by each one of the other gods at a hurriedly summoned council of war and thus armed, he went down to face the sea serpent in battle.

Even Marduk trembled and almost lost heart at the sight of the dragon and her monster brood. But Marduk had both strength and cunning. He had on his side the winds of heaven and, summoning all their strength together, he sent these on before him and they blew straight into the jaws of the unsuspecting Tiamat.

They rushed through her open mouth in a surging current, with all the tearing force of those great hurricanes that sometimes sweep the sea, and blew so fiercely into the very bowels of her body that she was racked and split asunder; then Marduk finished off the helpless monster with a blow of his club.

The serpents and the dogs and the scorpion men were useless without the power of their evil genius, and presumably they slunk away and vanished into that yet untamed sea from which they had come. Some say that they are still to be seen in the darkness of heaven, where they have taken on the shape of the twelve signs of the Zodiac.

The north wind carried away the blood of Tiamat, and Marduk split her skull and tore her dragon skin into two pieces. With these he formed the heaven and earth, separating one from the other, and in the upper regions he set the homes of the gods, created the stars in the sky, and ordained the paths they should follow.

He outlined the constellations, placing them so that they should serve as signs to indicate the day, the years and the seasons to mankind. he fixed the dome of heaven in place with a great bolt, and set a watchman there to guard it. He surveyed the skies, and built the Zodiac. Then he rested from his labors, hailed by gods and men alike as the dragon slayer.

Early Greek myths tell of a great battle between the young gods and the older ones who had ruled for so very long. The new gods included Zeus and his brothers Poseidon and Hades. Known for its sharp vision and vigilance, Draco,

The Dragon was the traditional guardian of temples and treasures as well as the springs of life and immortality. Hera, Queen of the Gods, enlisted the assistance of Draco to serve as protector of the precious golden apples, which she had presented Zeus on the day of their wedding.

While performing this task, Draco was tragically slain by The Hero, Hercules, who stole away with the golden apples, which became a symbol of his immortality. Outraged by Hercules' daring accomplishment, Queen Hera rewarded Draco for his faithfulness by lifting him up into the sky to be remembered forever as a constellation and to be seen by all for eternity.

Athena was the Goddess of Arts, Crafts and War. There were also terrifying figures cast up out of the volcanic fires that belched out of the bowels of Earth. These monsters, who represented the universal forces of evil, were known as the Titans, or the Giants.

During the battle, which lasted for ten long years, one the Titans hurled a fierce dragon at Athena. So great was her strength and so effective her magic shield that Athena was not frightened. She caught the dragon and, with one mighty heave, swung him high into the heavens. Up he soared, twisting and coiling this way and that until his long body had become tied in knots.

He came to rest in the northern sky and became fixed to that region around which the northern stars circle. Today we see him forever asleep as the much-knotted, battered, and twisted Draco.

Draco the Dragon and the Garden of Eden: 
Constellation of the Cosmic Serpent 
(Symbolism, Mythology, and Astrology)

Draco is one of the largest constellations in the heavens. We
currently refer to this constellation as "Draco the Dragon".
However, in Ancient Egypt this constellation was called "The
Cobra" or "The Serpent"

So, why is this constellation referred to as the Dragon in modern
times? And, to be even more precise, what is a dragon, and from 
where do we get the word "dragon?

To properly answer these questions, it is necessary to look into 
the etymology of the word "dragon".

The word "dragon" comes from the Latin word draconem and the
Greek word drakontos. Both of these words sound like "dragon"
and both of these words contain the sound draco within them.
Therefore, by simple word association, we get Draco the Dragon
as the modern name for this constellation.

However, when properly interpreted, the words draconem and
drakontos translate as "Serpent", or "huge Serpent".

With these thoughts in mind, let us now analyze the Symbolism
and mythology associated with the constellation Draco in its
role as the heavenly archetype of the Cosmic Serpent.

In ancient times Draco was a much larger constellation than
it is today. However modern astronomers, astrologers and
sky cartographers, in their never ending pursuit of attempting 
to improve upon the perfection of the Ancient Skywatchers, 
have dissected, or broken up, what was once an enormous, 
mythologically rich, constellation in the ancient sky. This
breaking up of large ancient constellations by modern
astronomers, astrologers and sky cartographers has not
been limited to only Draco.

In ancient times Draco consisted of not only the modern-day
remnant but also included both Ursa Major (the Big Dipper)
and Ursa Minor (the Little Dipper) which we also know as
the Big Bear and the Little Bear.

And because the Little Dipper resembled a "wing", which was
then a part of this ancient constellation of the Cosmic Serpent,
this constellation was also referred to as the Winged Serpent - 
or Feathered Serpent; a term which can be found in many 
ancient mythologies. 

For example, this constellation of the Feathered Serpent was 
known as Kulkulcan to the Mayans and as Quetzalcoatl to the 
Aztecs.

So now we come to the question: Why was this constellation of 
the Cosmic Serpent regarded with such importance in ancient 
mythology?

And the answer is: because this Cosmic Serpent is that same
"tempting Serpent" which lives within the branches of the "Tree of 
Knowledge of Good and Evil" in Garden of Eden lore. This Garden

Quetzalcoatl's astrological connection.

John Major Jenkins has this to say: "...the Toltec pantheon that represented the Zenith Cosmology was Quetzalcoatl, whose earliest astronomical association is with the Pleiades...The Pleiades were known as the serpent's rattle, and the flight of the Pleiades into alignment with the zenith sun evoked the image of a flying serpent." Maya Cosmogenesis 2012.

The Pleiades are an open star cluster of hot blue stars in the constellation of Taurus. They are the nearest star cluster to the Earth. You can see them with the naked eye during winter in the Northern Hemisphere. 

Although the story varies between different Mesoamerican cultures,Quetzalcoatl was considered the god of the morning star, and his twin brother Xoloti was the evening star(Venus). Quetzalcoatl was considered the inventor of books, the calendars, presenter of maize (corn), and sometimes the symbol of death and resurrection. He was also related to the gods of the wind, the dawn, of merchants, arts, and crafts. He was the patron god of the Aztec priesthood, of learning and knowledge.

This god is also attributed with going to the underworld and creating mankind of the fifth-world (present world). Wind, fire, and earthquakes destroyed humankind in the four previous worlds. According to Aztec legend this happened because these beings did not worship the gods.

Most ancient stories or myths did not depict actual events or people. They mythologized hard to explain phenomena using metaphors or symbols to make the greater meaning easier to understand. These myths were handed down generation after generation as a memorized story. The story of this deity is no different.

Quetzalcoatl represents far more than just an explanation of the Pleiades.

Quetzalcoatl was a revered god throughout Mesoamerican before Cortez. He symbolizes the vital energy within us...our own God selves. The Maya were very aware of this energy. They symbolized it as their feathered serpent.

Why feathered? Feathers represent the freedom to go between worlds, or the transcendence of the bonds of the flesh. Birds are the only animals that have the freedom to maneuver between all the elements, air, earth, and for some water as well.

The Kukulcan or Quetzalcoatl Pyramid at Chichen Itza is a huge solar clock or Mayan calendarlocated on the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico. I was fortunate to be there one year for the Spring Equinox and witness the light display of the great feathered serpent Kukulcan or Quetzalcoatl depending on where you're from, descending down the stairs of the pyramid and into the ground. What a spectacular experience!

So what does the serpent mean to the Maya? 

Quetzalcoatl means "plumed or feathered serpent." To many ancient religions, the serpent represents the kundalini energy coiled at the base of our spine.

"The Maya equivalent of "chi" (China) is referred to as coyopa or "lightning in the blood," which enables one to perceive within the body messages from the external worlds - both natural and supernatural...There is no one word for this in English, but it means something like, "vital force spirit." The Hidden Maya, Martin Brennan

At the end of the 5125 year cycle, which came to an end on 21st of december 2012, SOMETHING IS GOING TO HAPPEN WITH / IN the SUN!!!

Thus, we need to meditate with the SUN ...

Chichén Itza - the site where the Serpent comes down ... und climbes up again, visible in the shadows of the stairs of the pyramid - is the largest Ceremonial Centre on the peninsuly of Yucatán ...

Will the sun appear one day in the WEST?

Why pray to the SUN, to the Cosmos?

Because it can and will wake up your MEMORY ...

May we enter the next round of the Spiral of Evolution through the upgrade of our emotional bodies, now that our mental bodies are already resonating to the higher frequency octave of New Earth!

I begin to see that MORE Earth changes are right around the corner ... our united effort will be very much needed to help the planet to transit as peacefully and smoothly as somehow possible! New Earth is not just a metaphor ... our Mother is truly re-juvenating! Leaving ... transitioning ... making way for a New Earth Being, as SHE is ASCENDING - fully! -Leaving behind what She once WAS ... to BECOME!

Will the Sun rise in the West one day? We do not know, but Hunbatz Men insinuated this possibility in 2012.

All insights into what is happening is MEMORY.

Our MEMORY is being re-awakened by the SUN ...
