And we see a world where our seriousness has disappeared entirely; where our dramas are gone; our traumas are healed; and our whole outlook on life is now seen through the eyes of our own good humor.

Do you remember the last really good laugh you had, and how good you felt afterward?

Clearly, the antidote for our chilly, serious attitudes is to warm up a bit by laughing at life and laughing with life. When we laugh our hardness is softened, our brittleness strengthened, and our bitterness sweetened. Now it is so much easier for us to see the happy side of life, the joyous side of life because we have found our funny bones and realized that laughing is one of the great healers for whatever is ailing us.
