Dalai Lama
The Dalai Lama’s healing mantra
was passed on to me by a dear
friend when she heard that my
baby son was having
excruciating night terrors.
You see, at 3am every day he would
break out in terrified screams,
a glazed look of terror in his unfocused
eyes and his little body stiff with fear. I had done many things
and consulted many people but nothing seemed to ease the
terror that he was reliving every night. I knew it had to do with
a past life but it seemed that I could not assist him.
As soon as I received the mantra I started playing the
Dalai Lama’s mantra constantly in his room during the day
(even if he wasn’t there) and I always had it on before he went
to sleep at night. The minute I played the Dalai Lama’s mantra,
Julien’s little head would immediately move in the
direction that the mantra was coming from. It was
as if he recognized it. It would calm him down.
Within a short period of time I was able to connect
with his past life, clear it and the night terrors stopped.
I have put the Dalai Lama’s Healing Mantra, which
is also know as Sri Mrityunjaya Mantra for you to

what this mantra enables for you.
Here’s the story behind the recording:
A beloved friend of the Dalai Lama,
another monk, was making his transition from this life to the next.
Not, it might be said, as a trauma or a lost cause, but as a joyful
journey at the correct time and with understanding of life beyond
earth life. The Dalai Lama sat at his friend’s bedside and chanted
this chant for hours until the monk, with joy and peace, made his crossing.
Those who were present begged the Dalai Lama to record the chant
so that it might be shared with the world. He agreed to do so only
if it was stated that the recording could never be sold, but only
given away. This MP3 is the result. It is not for sale but is meant
to be copied and shared.
This is one of the most sacred and powerful mantras used for healing.
It has truly wondrous therapeutic power when chanted or listened to regularly.
It is said to chant at least one mala (108 times) per day, sending light and
love out from your heart to all those who need healing. Sri Mrityunjaya
Mantra is used for healing of physical, mental and spiritual issues.
When chanted or listened to regularly, this mantra will strengthen
the aura and create a shift in consciousness. It will help you to know
the divinity that is within you.
Some words from Sai Baba about this Mantra:
“Mrityunjaya Mantra is the mantra that is to be chanted to
be deathless. That does not mean that those who chant the
mantra will never die. I have said that we never die because
we were never born. As we were never born, who is going
to die? Nobody! When there is no birth there is no death.
Mrityunjaya Mantra will help you to know that your consciousness
or your spirit is deathless. It is chanted to know eternity.”

Sound has its own healing powers and there are, as a matter of fact, sounds and words so powerful themselves they can produce or stop things from happening. I will talk in another occasion of those, but just let’s keep in mind for this article that whatever a mother to be listens while she’s pregnant, her baby does too. And that sound will have itself a strong memory feedback once the baby is born: it will ease and calm him down, allow him to fall asleep with a sense of security.
I cannot imagine better sound to offer a baby than the one above, as it will also nourish parent’s souls too; wouldn’t it be ideal if this welcome and healing mantra could be song while birth is taking place too?
This mantra was recorded when a monk, who was very well loved by the Dalaï-Lama, was about to pass away. In order to help the transition, the Dalaï-Lama sat upon his bed and sang these mantras for hours until the monk left our world.
Those who witnessed the scene begged the Dalaï-Lama to record this wonderful song to share it with the rest of the world. A cd was recorded with the sole condition that it would never be sold, although it can be copied and shared.
The mantra goes as follows:
“Om trayambakam yajamahe
sugandhim pusti vardhanam
urvarukamiva bandhanat
mrtyor muksiya mamrtat”
And you can listen it from here:

There is also this alternative spelling for Mrityunjaya Mantra (Victory over Death, also called- Mahamoksha Mantra, Great Enlightenment):
“Om Tryambakam Yajamahe
Sugandhim Pushthi Vardhanam
UrvaRukamiva Bandhanat
Mrytyor Muksheeya Mamritat “
