" Grandmothers January Message The Grandmothers are giving us a job to do that will elevate us, and all life on earth. They’re asking us to perform deep forgiveness work with our relatives who have passed on. “As you honor and forgive those who came before you, you will heal yourself and heal your planet,” they say. This idea is new for me, but as I follow their guidance I'm astounded by the peace flooding my life. Working with the ancestors is becoming an important part of what we do at Grandmothers Speak and will be the corner stone of our Gathering this March. The Grandmothers ask us to set out pictures of our deceased relatives, place flowers and light candles before them, and then, one by one, speak to their higher consciousness, telling them that we love them. Working from within the Net of Light, we then thank them for giving us life, apologize for our part in any misunderstandings between us, and ask for their forgiveness. We basically follow the simple, but potent, work of Ho’Oponopono, the ancient forgiveness tradition of Hawaii. As you can imagine, this exercise is easier to do with some relatives than with others. However, I’ve found I can express gratitude to each one for their part in giving me life. And I can let the Grandmothers’ love flow through me to them, even when it’s difficult to personally feel love for them. Working with those who’ve gone before me has awakened me to a bond of love with ancestors I never met, giving me new loving connections. I feel tremendous support from these, my progenitors every day now and understand what the expression ‘have your back’ means. I’ve also become more in touch with the ancestors of the land. Those who are drawn to the Grandmothers’ work have a deep desire to spread love. We want, as they say, “To be a walking blessing upon the earth.” Yet often we don’t know how. The pain we see in the world sometimes overwhelms us, making us ask, “What can I do anyway? I’m just one person.” Well…..the Grandmothers are answering that question. With their help, we can heal our family lines. The repercussions of this familial work are enormous. Forgiveness inevitably fans outward from us in great concentric circles of light, touching all the lives we touch as well as all the lives our ancestors touched. Think about the magnitude of that for a moment. The message from the Grandmothers that follows will help you to do this work well. Ancestral Declaration, by the Great Council of the Grandmothers “I call upon the Net of Light and affirm my union with the Divine. I honor my loving connection with those living today, those who lived in other times, and those yet to be born. Love is not limited by the calendar or by the clock. Each of us is an eternal being, part of the One Love. Recalling this truth now, I bow my head in gratitude, saluting the Love within my higher consciousness and within the higher consciousness of everyone else. I invite the Ancestors of my family line and the Ancestors of the land where I live to join me in this blessing work. I welcome all who love and serve the light to connect now within the Net of Light. As we gather together, I ask forgiveness for my past ignorance and small mindedness; I no longer wish to judge and criticize others; nor do I wish to judge and criticize myself. I also gladly forgive anyone who ever judged or criticized me. I am able to do this with ease each time I remember that it is the breath of the One Love that breathes through me, and the beat of the One Heart that pumps life through me. My immortal self exists outside the limitations of action and beyond the circumstances of time and place. So as I turn to this presence within me, all pain from the past as well as any fear of the future falls away. All is forgiven. With my heart open wide, I offer blessings to all beings everywhere. This is how healing works - and how we will finally be able to heal the world.

What we heal within us - impacts not only PAST AND FUTURE as well, not only does it reverberate in ALL our incarnations throughout the entire universe - it even affects ALL who are genetically, physically tied to us through the blood ... does this not explain, too, why so many lightworkers have chosen so drastically dark family backgrounds, too? Imagine, if they manage to HEAL this rift from childhood ... unimaginable GIFTS and BLESSINGS!!!

Yes, I believe this is true, that at a certain point on our path of evolution we choose to incarnate where we can help others. Our own pleasure and comfort is no longer the consideration in our choice of birth. One very brave Soul I know was told in a spiritual reading that the main consideration for her, was that (she) the Soul was strong enough to survive.

She survived torture as a baby, which left her crippled, she forgave her family who did it to her, and is now a beautiful, loving teacher to them all.

May the many healers who are here today heal the DNA blood lines of us all!
