Thoughts’ Affect on the Body
“Every impulse of the mind, every thought, is conveyed by the cells. They are greatly influenced by the varying conditions of states of mind. If there are confusion, depression and other negative emotions and thoughts in the mind, they are telegraphically transmitted through the nerves to every cell in the body.”
As mentioned earlier, thoughts travel almost telepathically through space to affect those around us. Internally, thoughts travel through our body and either increasing or hampering it’s function depending on the nature of our thoughts.
“Mental health is more important than physical health. If the mind is healthy, the body will necessarily be healthy.”
Our mental health defines our physical health, or better yet the two are completely interconnected. When the mental state is healthy, the body is then able to function properly as a symbiotic response with the mind.
“If there is depression in the mind, the body also cannot function properly.”
“Intense passion, hatred, long-standing bitter jealousy, corroding anxiety, fits of hot temper actually destroy the cells of the body and induce diseases of the heart, liver, kidneys, spleen, and stomach.”
In mental states of depression, sadness or anger the body naturally responds with fear, decreased oxygen and blood flow resulting in decreased immunities and organ dysfunctions. An anxiety attack for example cause the ‘fight or flight’ response where we feel panic, increased heart rate, and shortness of breadth.
