How do crystals work?

Crystals have a long tradition of being used for crystal healing. Each variety of crystal has a unique internal structure, which causes it to resonate at a certain frequency. It is this resonance that is said to give crystals their healing abilities. Applying this resonance in a coherent way can help to restore stability and balance to the bodies energy systems, stimulating the body’s natural healing mechanisms.

Crystal therapy is a gentle non-invasive form of alternative healing that works holistically to harmonize the mind, body, emotions and spirit, helping to increase our feeling of well-being, neutralize negativity, lift depression and to help us to become integrated, whole beings.

Talking about stones this week made me realize that we can look at them in so many different ways and this reminded me of my fascination as a young and growing up teenager with the stones I found on my path just walking thought the woods or even the glistening particles in the stones they pave the ways with. When I got more and more engaged with energy and the way energy can work in a healing way I got more of an insight depth of the use of certain stones which are not so random.

While starting with my study of becoming more and more aquinted with the way energy can work in our healing process I learned about the gifts Mother Nature has presented us with in the way crystals are able to provide us with more clarity and clearing of energitical clutter. I got some training by a woman living in my own hometown who had a shop which was filled with all kinds of crystals and gems, and I was hooked. It made me feel greedy as well cause there are so many stones I was attracted to, although the crystal was my first Love.

I started reading up and connecting in a way with the gems I would have never imagined before. I learned how they could be applied and help out with the different diseases and illness we are confronted with by a dis-balanced system mentally, physically, emotionally and etheric. This was long before I learned also about the crystalline grid of Mother Earth and our heritage.

Mellie Uyldert wrote books about the way the stones work and how they can be applied. You can also use the different stones that are correlated with our chakra’s as well to bring in balance in areas you are feeling stuck or out of balance.

So I started using them in my daily life and by applying the stones more and more I gained more knowledge and inner teachings were reconnected so to speak as well. By learning I was able to implement the stones with my reflexology practice I did at the time. For they were an addition that worked really well to bring in clarity and insight how our body works in processing emotional wounds, experiences, trauma and dis-eases.

In those days a friend of mine also wrote several meditations and one was really speaking to me, it was a trip to the inner core of Gaia and about all the devastation she had to suffer during aeons by humanity and how she was in need of healing and balance again. Gaia allowed me to enter into her depths to the crystalline core and offered me also to bring a stone back to the surface for me to use and be my guardian stone so to speak.

It brought me deep down to my own inner core to find old ancient treasures hidden beneath the surface, ancient knowledge that I could reconnect again with so I was in gratitude for this strong connection I had with the Spirit of our Earth, the Mother we walk on and the life she offers to us in so many forms, specially for me in this case all her different stones in all their variety of coloring and aspects, the energy and possibilities to be used carefully and truthfully honoring Life in all its forms and aspects as well. She taught me how connected we are with each other as well as with every creation on the planet, in every shape and form.

For in stones we can find so much beauty as well as movement, healing aspects and realignment. It is about the frequency our body is relating to which can be stimulated or increased by using divers crystals with their own unique frequency. As you become familiar with stones, meditation, healing work, and the energies within and around you, you will begin to incorporate your awareness into different aspects of your life and consciousness. Studying and working with the chakra system will help you become aware of the powerful life force energy that exists within our bodies, minds, our environment, and ultimately the physical and divine universe.

Up to this day I love to work with and accept gratefully the gifts the stones are sharing with me and assisting me in aligning again within my body, assisting the processes to rebalance and empowering the Love in my day to day Life. There is a lot of information to be found on internet about the healing energy of the different crystals and stones, studies you can follow and books to read. For me it all started with the connection I felt with the crystals and how I could tune into the world of energy with their help as well.

For me I let my intuition lead me in the choice for a specific stone that is needed at any time to help out clearing and cleansing or just enables me to get more clarity of mind, body and soul. I often tell people if they want to have a stone, just be guided by your own intuition and let your heart speak which color or texture stands out. Not even knowing by mind which choice to make, the Heart knows. I trust my Heart as my teacher and guide in learning, healing and teaching.
