on the value of reasoning from a place of Love

Hello, and thank you for taking this
time to sit with me in this space and be tuned in to the energy I am bringing
here and that you are meeting me in. I AM Herodotus and I would like to speak
to you about a few things that are easily brushed aside as we make leaps and
bounds towards this new paradigm of being. Leaps and bounds are wonderful, and
long overdue in some senses, but we must not set aside the value of reason in
these times either. Sometimes reason reminds you of the energy of the world
historic, this stuck, controlling energy that you want so much to be free from
now, however, there is, as in all things, a more divine facet to reason. And so
I want to speak to you of this divine faculty of reason.
I show you a coin and say it has two
sides, you can only look at one at a time, you cannot see both on the same
physical coin at once, yet just as you look at one, you know the other side is
there too. Now, see here love and fear as two sides of the same coin. Let us
have the coin in this teaching represent "reason". If you approach reason from
a viewpoint of fear this is where you find the stuck, controlling, unpleasant
energies and systems from which you wish to break free arising. Now, you are
not being called to forsake reason, but to regard it from the perspective of
love rather than of fear. Do you see the difference here?
Let us take for example a small child
playing near the road. Reason would say this is not a safe place for the child
to play. The authority figures in the child's life will then, using reason,
create a rule to ensure the child's well-being. If the authority figure reasons
from a place of fear, the rule may sound something like such: "Johnny, you are
going to get hit by a car and so you can only play inside now." Now, the
authority reasoning from a place of love, might rather create the rule as
follows: "Johnny, I love you and care about you and do not want you to be hurt,
so please be cautious if ever you go by a road, and since you love playing
outside and might not always have it in mind to take care by the road when you
are playing, I only want you to play by the road when I, or another authority,
are there to supervise."
You are the authority in your life, and
each of you has to care for yourself like a good parent. Use the reason from a
place of love when caring for yourself. No rules is not the way. But the
reasoning from love will leave you in a place of understanding, this is of
utmost importance. Reasoning from love carries understanding, compassion, and
truth. I leave you with this and implore you each to be a good parent to
yourself. A wise, loving ruler unto yourself. Do not deplore reason, for when
issuing from a place of love, it is your wise, loving parent within, indeed
your soul and God-self which is giving you care and guidance for your greatest
good. Live thoughtfully.
