Message from the Grandmothers Let yourself fill with the energy of the Great Mother "Receive," the Grandmothers said. "An empty vessel can give nothing. Breathe  with us. Breath in, and when you exhale, notice how everything within you that's ready to leave, simply goes. Old thoughts, ideas, memories and stress will leave," they said, flicking their hands in dismissal. "That's all there is to it. Breathe in and breathe out," they said, their chests rising and falling in rhythm with mine, "and synchronize your breath with ours. We breathe you. God breathes you," they said and watched to be sure I was in rhythm with them. "Inhale, and release," they said and I patterned my breath with theirs, reminding myself that whenever I exhaled, everything old inside me was leaving. "Let your breathing be effortless," they said, and it was.   "Now turn your attention to us," they said, and quickly I glanced up. "We are in this room with you," they said, "and at the same time we are hovering over this room. We are here! they cried, pointing to themselves, "and we are everywhere! We stand behind you and in front of you, we stand to the left and to the right," they laughed at the look of surprise on my face. "We surround you. "YOU," they pointed at me, "are part of the Great Mother." My eyes widened and I must have looked shocked because they began to laugh. "The Mother is with you always," they nodded. "Let yourself fill with the energy of the Great Mother, and each time you think of filling, as you breathe in, you will enliven Her presence within you. We, the Grand Mothers are at one with the Mother," they chuckled,"and we are always with you. Always we are with you. Behind you," they chorused, "around you, and in front of you.
