STILLING THE EMOTIONAL BODY:- Alice bailey, who presented much of the teaching of Ascended Master Djwhal Khul (DK) in her books, has elucidated how to still the emotional body. 1. By constantly watching all desires, motives, and wishes that cross the horizon daily, and by subsequently emphasizing all those that are of a high order and inhibiting those of a lower order. 2. By constant daily attempt to contact the higher self, and to reflect its wishes in life. 3. By regular periods of daily meditation, directed specifically to the stilling of the emotional body. Each of us must discover for ourselves when we yield most easily to violent vibration, such as fear, worry, personality desire of any kind, personality love of anything or anyone, discouragement, or oversensitivity to public opinion. Then we must overcome that vibration by imposing on it a new rhythm, definitely eliminating and reconstructing it. 4. By working on the emotional body at night, under the direction of more advanced souls, or working under the guidance of a Ascended Master. When illusion and glamour have been overcome, the astral body fades out in the human consciousness. There is not desire left for the separated self.
