Dear Dr.,

I’ve been reading children’s books to young ones for as long as I can remember. My oldest daughter, Tracy, was born in 1967 and my youngest, Saje, in 1989. I have a total of eight children and four grandchildren, and reading to them at bedtime has been one of my all-time favorite blessings. It is my desire to have all of the children of the world grow up knowing that they are indeed incredible divine beings with the power to be happy.

I am honored and thrilled to now have the opportunity to write a children’s book with my daughter Saje. I’ve been telling her remarkable story at my events for so many years. And just recently, I invited Saje to come onstage with me and share her experience. She received such a terrific response that we decided to write Goodbye, Bumps.

Both Saje and I believe it’s an important story to tell that will benefit children of all ages—a very helpful lesson about not giving power to the things that bug us. For Saje, it was the bumps on her face. For the rest of us—adults and children alike—it’s the bumps in the road that we face in everyday life and what we can do to overcome them.

I hope you’ll share this book with your little ones and loved ones and see the difference it can make in their lives.
