A good friend and teacher of mine once said "First enlightenment and then the laundry". I would like to put it the others way around: "First the laundry, then enlightenment". The things are simple. Imagine you have a dirty robe. The robe has to be cleansed from the dirt that has happened to it. Then the robe has to be protected against being aspersed again. Both will secure that you look pretty when you stand before God.
