The Traditional Ways

I am of Ojibwa ancestry I am not status, I don't have a card, I am Metis. I have grown up on the res and I am old enough to remember some of the old ways, traditions, and stories. I have also read many books and did much research on the Internet after I got a computer 10 years ago.

Many of the stories I have found to ring closely to the traditions and many I could describe as fairy tales or fantasy. I have never learned the traditional way of healing, because I have been a healer for as long as memory takes me.

As a child I performed healings on animals then in later years discovered it worked for some people as well, depending on how open minded and receptive they were to the healings.

Many of the old legends and traditions have been forgotten by the younger generation even just in my generation much was left by the way side. Unfortunately many of the younger people do not honor the words of their elders as much today.

But the good thing is that in the past couple of decades there appears to be a resurgence of the old Native Traditional ways, by both native and whites.

Lastly about Healing that are channeled from the elements, the spirit of all things, Great Spirit. I don't use a table and crystal stones, candles or any special hand movements. Just have that person sit in a comfortable chair and maybe burn sage or sweet grass, the medium for sending your offerings or prayers to the Great Spirit. I don't think anyone has the monopoly on faith or prayer, Native or Whites.

You find wannabees fakes in any online groups, I just pray that if they stick around long enough they may actually learn something.

Now as  for the information "on any given topic or subject on the internet it is like walking in a cow pasture, you gotta be careful where you step.
