The Wesak

Wesak or Vesak, is an auspicious festival for all the spiritual practitioners worldwide, that falls on the full moon of Taurus. Meditating during the exact moment of Wesak, has been observed carefully throughout history and is emphasized by many spiritual teachers, Masters and great ones, including Grand Master Choa Kok Sui.

The Wesak, is basically the most powerful full moon of the year, and sometimes is called “Buddha’s Birthday” as it encompasses the birth, enlightenment and death of Gautama Buddha. Wesak is special, mainly because Buddha made a commitment to keep in touch with earth and its beings on this auspicious day. According to tradition, on the exact time of Wesak, Buddha returns to earth and spiritual practitioners, Holy Masters and Arhats from all over the world join him for a great act of service to mankind – to help manifest the divine plan on earth. It is believed that, at this sacred moment, the energy of Shambala is released upon earth through the Buddha. Therefore Wesak, is known as the festival of Buddha, divine intermediary between the highest spiritual center, Shamballa, and the Spiritual Hierarchy.

Buddha as the embodiment of Divine Light and expression of Wisdom of God and Christ, as the embodiment of Divine Love are active during this festival, helping and strengthening those who serve humanity.

In order to take active parts in this divine mission and benefit immensely from this holy festival, we, as spiritual practitioners, should prepare our system. By removing the negative thought, emotions and all that hinder our spiritual growth, we can harness the great spiritual energies that are released during Wesak.

Besides helping our fellow human beings on earth, we can use this amazing opportunity to immensely accelerate our spiritual development and materialize our wishes. The below are just some of the benefits achieved by meditating during Wesak:

1. Deeper Purification

Divine energy basically has consciousness of its own and therefore gradually flushes out negative thoughts, emotions and energies from our aura and our chakras. 2. Greater Spiritual Experiences and Intuition

In order to manifest a wish or materialize a plan, we need to stuff it with enough energy. Wish or plan is in fact a thought created by us that has the ability to materialize if it is strong enough. In order to increase its potency we need to provide the thought form with enough energy.

During Wesak, lots of divine energy enters our body through our spiritual cord, which acts as a communication channel between the divine and us. Therefore it increases the size of our spiritual cord. When our body is filled with spiritual energy, the size of the meridians also gets thicker allowing more energy to circulate in our system in a faster rate. Divine energy also cleanses the chakras and activates them. The effect is spiritual empowerment!

Once the size of our energy body and the diameter of our chakras increase, we will get empowered! Chakras basically affect us physically, psychologically and spiritually, as each chakra functions at all these three levels. So when chakras get bigger, we will notice improvement in various parts of life. While a bigger Ajna chakra, manifest as greater will power, a bigger Throat chakra brings more creativity and a bigger Heart chakra, manifests as more love and compassion.

Divine energy also helps to transform and regulate the lower nature.

Divine energy when received by the practitioner, will get absorbed by the energy body and the chakras, transforming their quality and improving their functions. Divine energy because of its color and quality, have a lot of healing power. When absorbed by our body it brings about greater physical health. Furthermore divine energy increases our immunity and defense mechanism, which helps our body fight infection and various diseases in a better and more effective way.
