We thank all of those who wrote us, often in great depth and with razor sharp insight, with your comments about this Bridge message. We also intend that you who are reading it now enjoy it. Since The Intenders Bridge has started getting popular I have begun to receive emails from people all over the world who usually write to tell me one of two things. Either they've been inspired by what they read (which was my heart-felt intention), or they are angry about a word or concept I wrote that doesn't fit into their current frame of thinking. The letters of gratitude, which outnumber the angry letters by far, are food for the soul. They inspire me, in return, to continue my creative work. The nasty letters, however, are a different story. It's as if the people who wrote them were just waiting in ambush for me to say something they could disagree with so they could vent their frustrations. You would not believe some of the hateful, hurtful things people can say, sometimes simply because they've misunderstood the point of a message, or it may have touched a nerve about a belief they're holding onto which isn't working for them anymore. Regardless of the reason, it's clear that they are unhappy, often deeply so, and it's like, in their angry response to me, they never considered that I was doing my best to help them. Nor did they consider that I wasn't the one to make them unhappy in the first place. What's even more fascinating is that I'll get an angry complaint about a Bridge Message that is later on the list - where the person has received a few dozen Messages before it - but now, all of a sudden and without mentioning the good they received (free) from all the previous messages, they choose instead to rant at me. So, since this is all new to me because I spent most of my life as a hermit, and because my work is just now, after 12 years of writing and speaking in cities and towns all across this land, becoming better known, I need a new outlook on things. I think I'll say my "inviting intention" ("I intend that everything needing to be known is known, etc.") that is in all my books, and see what guidance comes to me from within. You can get to a place where neither praise nor blame touches you. It is a quiet place inside that is likened unto a safe haven, or a port out of the storms of life where you are at peace within yourself. Your world is changing very rapidly and there will be those who are unprepared to handle the energetic shifts that are occurring, and they will lash out against their fellowmen and women. It is for you, however, to hold on to your upliftment and be as an example for others. This is the job of all who would be the lightworkers in this momentous time. Know that your opposition to anything will work against both you and the those who attack you. If you feel drawn to respond, do so lovingly, with the understanding that you can only do so much. You cannot hand another person their happiness on a silver platter. It is up to them to conjure their own happiness from deep within themselves. And it is up to you to cultivate your own joy, as well, by finding that quiet place of humility inside where the peace you feel far outweighs your need to be praised or blamed.
