The process of acceptance is like anything else. It doesn’t happen all at once. It happens in stages or steps. First, you must be aware of something and then you must allow yourself the reaction to it. In other words, you’re still going to feel your emotions, even though your goal will be to find a place of acceptance within you. After you have processed whatever emotions come up within you regarding your circumstances, you can open yourself up to the possibility that what you are experiencing in the present moment is actually serving you in some way.
